The Center for Responsive Politics is committed to promoting government accountability and making information on political influence on elections and policy accessible and meaningful. We are an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization. CRP does not advocate for specific legislation or regulations--with one important exception:
Transparency.
Since real accountability requires transparency, we strongly support and will urge passage of legislation and rules that will make it easier for Americans to stay informed about what their elected officials are doing, and why.
